Our Story
When Roman opened his doors on East 103rd Street in 1987, the goal was simple: bring a wine shop that treated every customer like a guest into a neighborhood that deserved it. No pretension. No towering shelves of the same labels you'd find anywhere. Just carefully chosen bottles and honest advice.
Today, that ethos remains unchanged. Every bottle on our shelves is something we'd serve at our own table — a Burgundy from a small producer, a Japanese whisky worth the wait, a natural wine that surprised us on a trip to the Loire. We know our regulars by name, remember their preferences, and aren't shy about telling you when something isn't quite right for the occasion.
